Welcome to Super Speech Therapy!

Established in 2019. Frozen in 2020.

In 2019, I finally earned the keys to a shiny new California business. After tons of paperwork and jumping through various hoops, I was finally ready to set off on my own to build a business that would support the children and parents of my community without the restrictions that come from working as part of a bigger group/organization.

In 2020, the COVID-19 global pandemic ruined everything. School-based SLPs had an entirely new set of restrictions in place, and there was no time to consider the logistics of starting a business at a time when most businesses were closed. All speech therapy was provided remotely, which was something that was unthinkable for me at the time (SPOILER: I figured out how to do it. I'll share more about that stuff in a future blog).

It has taken me a great deal of time to accept that the first attempt was doomed to fail. I spent so much time and money getting things ready only to have the world shut down and make it all useless. A lot has changed since then, and I am hoping to take a super big swing at this private practice stuff this time around. We're starting small, but we are going to accomplish very big things and support the children and parents of our community.
